Penelope A. "Penny" BartelsPenelope A. "Penny" Bartels, 79, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025, in Gurnee, IL. She was born October 1, 1945, in Oak Park, IL, was formerly of Ontarioville, IL, River Forest, IL and had been a longtime resident of Libertyville, IL.Penny was a former secretary at Grace Lutheran Church in Libertyville for nearly 20 years and was a former member of the Jr. Women’s Club in Libertyville and a coach for Libertyville Girls Softball. She will be remembered as a person with endless love for people, finding happiness in all and having a gift of communication and listening. Her talent was planning parties and special occasions for others.
