TAMMS - Rev. Lacie Dean Betts, 83, of Tamms, died March 7, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.He was a minister for many years and pastored several churches in Southern Illinois. He retired from the department of transportation.He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Betts; children, Sally Betts, and Jimmy Betts, both of Tamms; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Linda Lingle of Jonesboro.He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and an infant brother.Funeral services were Monday, March 11, in Crain Funeral Home in Tamms. The Revs. Buddy Walls and Bob Kirby officiated.Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
