George Edward Evers, 79, was born on November 2, 1944, and passed away on May 10, 2024, at Union County Hospital. He attended Lowell Elementary School in Mound City, followed by Mound City Central High School. Later, he pursued higher education at Southern Illinois University (SIU). George worked for Meridian High School and Shawnee College.
